Mid October we visited a pumpkin patch to get a couple of photos of Stella and of course a pumpkin. It was the start of Fall and it was some great weather. All things considered, Texas has been having some great weather lately.
Stella being the crawler that she is likes her freedom and was fearless about exercising it at the patch. She was getting in the grass and crawling around searching for the perfect pumpkin. She seemed to believe she could lift pumpkins that were twice her weight. I"ll tell you what, that girls got some tenacity.
She also is free from the social norms that confine us. By this I mean she preferred the pumpkins that looked nothing like what we call a perfect pumpkin. She wanted the ones that were shaped disproportionately and were far from smooth. What a wonderful thing being a child must be. If I had the patience to blog for her until her teenage years I am sure I could attribute the fall of this trait to the "Justin Beiber" of her time.
Belinda held her hands and walked her around as we looked for a some pumpkins to take home.
When these photos were taken Stella was still sporting her lushes locks. Since such time she has gone for her first hair cut. I had not noticed until seeing this photo below just how long her mullet, I'm sorry I mean her lushes locks had grown. With the wind blowing and the sun on her face in this photo it almost makes me sad we cut it. I also looks like she is going through a wind storm.
After much exploration we left with our three pumpkins. We went to get one, but some how left with three. The smallest one Stella picked out. The second one I picked out. The third one Mr. Chapa picked out I think to help out the church raise funds.
