4 Months

Stella had her 4 month check-up last week. (Yes I am still playing catchup here. Its just evidence that I actually work during the day.)

Was a standard occasion. These type of check-ups are apparently called wellness visits. There is no charge for these wellness visits. YET, every time we go to a wellness visit we end up having to pay the co-pay. Apparently, if you discuss a topic that is outside of the scope of the visit it changes to a standard doctors visit. It might just be me, but I have this sneaking suspicion that Doc is waiting for a single word to trigger a change in his fee. It has happened to each time, we just don't know what the word is that we say that causes it trigger the change. At our next appointment I am going to suggest to Belinda that we only use no verbal communication during the time the doctor is around. I really don't think it is fair that he is the only one who knows what questions are outside the scope of the visit. I give y'all my word we are not asking thousands of questions when we go. Then again what is the alternative, the doctor failing to tell us something cause it is outside the scope of our appointment? I just don't get it.

Anyway, here are her stats:

Length = 25.5 inches
Weight = A sturdy 14.5 pounds

If these numbers mean something to you, she is in the 89% for height and in the 65% for her weight.

At the four month visit is when Stella also gets more of her immunizations. she was suppose to get two shots as one was suppose to be combination of several shots. When the nurse came back she notified us however that it was out of stock and Stella would be receiving the four shots individually. Oh the drive home. Our poor little Chiquita was of pour spirits that day and did not laugh as she normally does. Grandma made the exception to the rule and carried her for naps just to help ease the pain.

4 months down, who knew it would be this quick. Next thing you know its college.
