Update 1 of 3: Nothing Changed

Its been almost three weeks since I last updated so I have a few things to talk about but I am separating them into three parts.

Three weeks ago absolutely nothing happened. It was wonderful. Our lives have been in a constant state of change. Just when we start to get the hang of things something new pops up. Stella reaches another mile stone and you do has to change to adjust. It was like the eye of storm. Not that I have ever actually seen the eye of a storm, but I have seen enough national geographic and major motion pictures to believe that in the eye of the storm there exists a calm. A calm surrounded by high winds, loud thunder, and raging lighting. But right in the middle hidden in rage exists this oasis of peace. That is how I would describe our weekend.

Belinda and I went out to dinner with Stella and ate at California Pizza Kitchen and Stella was a treat. She hated being in her car seat, but once she was out she was as happy as a clam (I really don't know why people say that.) She would start to smile and giggle at strangers and watch as food was taken by. Personally, I think she wants to ditch the milk and get with solids already, but I'm guessing she would need at least one tooth to get to that stage.
This was the weekend that Belinda gave Stella her recent nick-name of "fisgona." That girl loves to look around and take in everything that is happening. But its the way she does it that makes her look nosey. Her eyes, her eyes almost squint as they look past you to the people or things behind you. Her little bobble head wiggles around and just gazes at people or it struggles to move left to right as she follows her optical interest. You can wave your hand in front of her and she will not lose sight. It continued at the book store where we walked to after dinner and Stella gave the impression she was trying to see what everyone was reading.

The next day we went to brunch with friends and it all repeated. The calm not only came from her attitude, but from the comfort of not having to constantly look up a topic in a book or on the Internet to know if what was happening. The nights surrounding the weekend were filled with peaceful sleep by all parties and we were greeted each morning with a big smile. It was a wonderful weekend indeed.
