Still In Corpus

For those of you who do not know, Mrs. Chapa is retiring from her post with the city after more than 25 years to take care of Stella. We came down for the festivities to make sure she did not change her mind about retiring and helping us due to Belinda's comments. We could not be more excited about her agreeing to help. Knowing that someone who truly loves our child will be taking care of her while we are away is a great feeling.

I'm just hoping Belinda doesn't get her to change her mind.

According to Belinda, there will be an orientation process for Mrs. Chapa once she arrives in San Antonio as to how the baby is going to be taken care. She has submitted a list of books she thinks her mom should read and if she had her way I think she would want her mom to get CPR certified. We are not even certified. Belinda has also commented that she will have to work at least six months before she can use her sick leave.

When it comes down to it, we know that she did a good job raising two children of her own so Stella is in great hands.

This is Stella looking appreciative her grandma is coming to take care of her.
