What a New Year

You will have to excuse us for not informing you of the most recent occurrence, but we wanted to focus all our energies on making sure Stella was OK.


Shortly after the post about not being able to sleep I became concerned about Stella's breathing. After numerous calls to the nurse hot line I was finally told we should take Stella to the emergency room. So we did. And what I thought was going to happen was what we hoped would happen but did not in fact happen. We were admitted into the hospital. I hoped we would simply be sent back home as overly concerned parents who worried about nothing more than single sneeze. So we were in the hospital for two and a half days so that Stella could be observed and cleared of any possible infections. The good news is that the baby has acid reflux (yes that is good news) and not the many other disease that the doctor suspected were present.

We had our baby home for twelve hours before we were forced to head back to the land of the sick.

But we are back now and things are going great now that we are all home again.
